Early morning accident sees Fountain Valley resident lose life after striking tree on Main Street.
Huntington Beach witnessed a tragic turn of events early Wednesday morning as a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a man from neighboring Fountain Valley.
The fatal mishap involved a white Ducati Monster, ridden by the deceased, traveling northbound on Huntington Beach’s Main Street, according to a police statement. Preliminary findings point towards a potentially unsafe turning maneuver executed by the motorcyclist, leading to a collision with a tree situated just north of Orange Avenue.
Police were alerted to the distressing scene around 1:30 a.m., where they discovered the victim lying in the roadway. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
The victim, a 33-year-old male, remains unidentified as authorities await to notify his kin. As this incident continues to be under investigation, the Huntington Beach Police Department encourages any potential witnesses to step forward.
